What’s Going On!?

So, what’s going on with all you? How are you all? What are you currently reading? Me? Not a whole lot unfortunately 😦

I really haven’t stuck to my originally planned TBR so far this month and I feel kind of bad for it. Kind of. I haven’t really touched Outlander much and haven’t touched Geek Girl at all. I am reading Cinder though since that is a buddy read on Goodreads. I am quite enjoying it so far once I pushed past the first 20 or so pages. I was briefly worried that I wasn’t going to like this book. It just didn’t seem that interesting at first but now things are getting good. So good in fact that I quickly got ahead of my buddy……Oops. It’s ok though. I am just setting it off to the side for now to giver her a chance to catch up so we can read it together like we are supposed to πŸ˜‰ Totally my fault! Oh well.

While I wait for her, I have decided to pick up Asylum by Madeleine Roux. After thinking about my TBR, I couldn’t believe I didn’t have a Holloweenish book to read included. So, I had to remedy that of course. I LOVE Halloween!!! ❀ I also was a bad girl and went to the library last week and of course, you can’t leave the library empty handed! I had picked up 4 books while I was there. Definitely one of the books I wont be finishing is Haunted by James Herbert. It just didn’t capture my interest.

The other 3 books are books that I do want to read and have wanted to for a while. They are The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han, Β and A Thousand Pieces Of You by Claudia Gray. A Thousand Pieces Of You is what I started first. I am only 22 pages in but, I already love it. This book will be my focus on Saturday which is also the Dewey 24 hour read a thon. For me, it starts at 8am and goes until 7:55am Sunday. The hubby is going to be gone all day so it will just me and the kiddos stuck at home so, we are making it a reading day! πŸ™‚ I am very excited. I should be able to get a good chunk of the book done Saturday but I more than likely wont finish it. I guess it depends on how much farther I get into it between now and then. Tomorrow is going to be my cleaning day though so I can read all day guilt free on Saturday πŸ˜‰

Once I finish these library books though, I am going to go back to reading the books I own. I felt kind of guilty getting books from the library when I have so many good books waiting to be read that I own. It’s ok though. I will still get them all read πŸ˜‰ I think November and December I will be focusing on finishing all the books I have started……Which is quite a few……. I want to be down to 0 currently reading by the end of the year! Unless I am actively reading the book I would be currently reading. LOL!

Well, that’s it for this post! Talk to you all latter!

Thanks for reading!!!!! ❀

October TBR!

Ok! It is October!!!! What has happened to this year!?

I do LOVE October though. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I look forward to it every year! We always dress up and have a party with our friends and it just makes me so happy πŸ™‚ This year, one of our best friends is getting married on Halloween! I think that is so cool! Last year another of our best friends got married just a few days before Halloween which is still cool! It was trick-or-treating night in our town which made things interesting for those of us with kids. We expect the same thing to happen this year but, since its earlier in afternoon, I am not sure how things are going to go. We will find out when we get there! I love a challenge πŸ˜‰

Anywho. On to my reading plans for this month!

As it is going to be a pretty busy month, I don’t plan on reading much more than I already have. I have already read 3 books so far…… I finished the LUX series……. AMAZING!!!!! More on that latter though! For the rest of the month I just plan on reading/finishing 3 books. I am going to finish Geek Girl by Holly Smale and I plan to finish Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (I finally got my own copy!!!!!). As that one is a larger book and I am only 10 chapters in, I will honestly be surprised if I do get it finished this month but, I am going to try!!! I am also doing a buddy read in one my Goodreads groups and we decided to read Cinder by Marissa Meyer. This is my main focus since it is a buddy read, obviously. It is pretty good so far. I have to admit I wasn’t so sure about this book at the start. It is just so different from my normal reads. I haven’t really gotten into the whole syfy thing before this and the LUX series but, having heard amazing things, I had to check them out. So far, I have not been disappointed. I am interested to see where this series goes πŸ™‚

Well, there you have it! 2 blogs in one day! Hopefully it’s not too much for you. Since I knew what I wanted to say in both, I just wanted to go ahead and get them done so I am not keeping anyone waiting any longer πŸ™‚

Thanks for reading!!!!! ❀

September/Read A Thon Wrap Up!

Alrighty then! I am back to semi normal again! I was sick all last week and I haven’t felt that bad and drained in a very long time. And it was just a cold! With a mix of really bad sinuses and allergies…… All I have left to do is go back to the doc to get a flu shot and then I can put this all behind me. Kiddos wont be happy though because I will be taking them with me to get their flu shots as well…… Its a necessary evil 😦

Anyway. On with the updates!!!!

Ok. So first I am going to do the Read Your Book Shelf A Thon wrap up. I completely finished 3 books and read half of the 4th book before the end of the week! In pages, I read a total of 1082 pages!!!! That is a lot for me! It did help that I was sick for most of the read a thon so all I did was read because I didn’t have energy to go anywhere or even clean. A huge positive to reading! The books I read during the read a thon were Falling Kingdoms and Rebel Spring by Morgan Rhodes and I finished Obsidian and read half of Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Both series are amazing!

Now for the September wrap up! Just read the above paragraph πŸ™‚ LOL!!!!! Yes, that’s all that I read in September with the exception that I DID finish Onyx by the end of the month. So I read a total of 4 books last month and that makes me happy. That’s the amount of books I shoot for finishing each month anyway. I just read them all in just over a week instead πŸ™‚

Well that is all for this post! I will talk to you soon with my October TBR!!!!

Thanks for reading!!!! ❀

Quick Update!

Hey guys! Sorry I have been MIA the last week. I have been really sick and haven’t had much energy to do anything at all. Except read. Ah the wonderful benefit of books!

Any who….. I will have a couple blogs coming your way very soon. They will be about how I did in the Read Your Book Shelf A Thon, all the books I read in September, and then my October TBR. I am hopefully going to get at least one of them done tomorrow. Sorry for the delay but, they are coming! I just wanted to let you all know what was going on! πŸ™‚

Thanks for reading! ❀
